Eligibility and Requirements

Yes, we welcome re-applications. Many candidates gain valuable experience between applications and find success in subsequent years.

Applicants should be early-career professionals with bachelor degree at least,  with less than three years of experience, typically between 23 and 27. Applications are evaluated based on qualifications, skills, motivation, and alignment with the programme’s values.

Yes, the programme is open to early-career professionals, including recent graduates. Prior full-time work experience is not required. However, in the case of new graduates internships will be considered favorably. 

The programme accepts applications from all nationalities.

Yes, the programme encourages applications from people who have disabilities (whether visible or not) and People of Determination. We strive to provide an inclusive and supportive environment for all associates.

Yes, applicants with families are eligible. However, please note that the programme covers individual associates’ accommodation and visa and may not extend support for family members.

Yes, the programme welcomes applicants from diverse educational backgrounds. An interest in business, curiosity about Dubai and the UAE and commitment to personal growth is more important than a specific field of study.

The DBA programme collaborates with leading institutions to deliver high-quality learning modules, though it is not directly affiliated with a specific university.

Application Process

The process includes submitting a CV, cover letter, and a 90-second video introduction. Shortlisted candidates complete a behavioral test, followed by two rounds of interviews to assess skills and fit with the programme.

The programme has two application rounds:

  • First wave: Applications from December 1 to January 31, with decisions by March 15.
  • Second wave: Applications from February 1 to April 1, with decisions by May 31.

We would in all cases encourage early applications.

  • Cover Letter: No more than 500 words, covering motivation, relevant skills and experiences, and career aspirations post-DBA.
  • Video: No more than 90 seconds, with no specific guidelines. It’s an opportunity for applicants to showcase their personality and authenticity.
  • CV: 1-2 pages, all formats and layouts are welcome.

Programme Details, Content and Outcomes

Each cohort typically consists of around 30 – 40 associates.

The programme is fully funded, covering associates’ accommodation, flight, visa support, and a monthly stipend to cover living expenses.

The DBA programme is a full-time engagement. Associates are expected to fully commit to the nine-month experience, immersing themselves in various activities, trainings, and projects.

No, the programme requires full-time participation, so outside employment or freelance work is not permitted.

Deferrals, late starts, or early departures are generally not permitted, as the programme requires full participation to ensure a cohesive learning experience.

Applicants are encouraged to be open-minded and ready to learn about a variety of partner companies. While no specific prior knowledge is required, flexibility and a willingness to collaborate with diverse organizations are essential. Doing some preliminary research on the partner companies to understand their industries and goals will demonstrate a proactive approach and genuine interest.

Placements are determined based on the needs of partner companies and associate skill sets and professional fit. Flexibility in placement preferences is strongly encouraged to make the most of the programme experience.

The DBA programme exposes associates to multiple industries through work placements and professional networking, equipping them with diverse industry insights and skills to support career growth and potential transitions.

The DBA programme is a professional development programme and does not confer a formal diploma or degree. Associates gain valuable experience and certifications (from leading organizations including PwC Academy) that enhance their professional profiles.

As the core part of the programme, associates will be placed at one or usually two organizations based in Dubai on a short-term project basis.

Following completion of the programme a full-time position is not guaranteed at our partner organizations, but associates will be equipped with the skills, experience, and networking opportunities that often lead to career opportunities in the UAE and beyond.

Yes, the programme includes a comprehensive induction week to help associates acclimatize to life in Dubai, covering everything from practical arrangements to cultural orientation and professional introductions. Our programme also integrates professional coaching, mentoring and if required, counselling is available through insurance.
